ChatGPT
Lately there has been a lot of talk about the new artificial intelligence ChatGPT. It is a system that is generating a lot of debate and surprising us all. This intelligence is capable of generating conversations in a conventional way among other things.
ChatGPT is a chat system based on the ChatGPT-3 AI language model developed by OpenAI. This model has more than 175 million parameters, and is trained to perform tasks related to our language, in order to carry out activities such as maintaining a fluent conversation with any of us, to translating and generating texts.
How is this Artificial Intelligence trained?
As we have already mentioned, it is trained on the basis of texts. As questions are asked, information is added, so we get this system, based on long-term corrections to be trained to perform autonomously the task that is asked.
The algorithms of this system are trained so that it can maintain fluid conversations with people and should respond to what you are asking with precision. Christian Jodra, our Back-End Developer, says: "I use this artificial intelligence in my daily tasks. I ask it to help me with the code, to write and improve the emails I send... I consider that it has many benefits, but it should be noted that depending on what you ask it to do, you have to insist that it gives you the right answer. You have to use these tools with care because when it comes to coding, for example, as the code is very repetitive, the tool tends to introduce known vulnerabilities".
ChatGPT is becoming a dangerous tool depending on how it is used. The first to be alarmed have been schools and universities, as they have opened a new debate on the use of technology in these areas. Teachers say that students use this tool to copy in exams and papers, even though they know that plagiarism is punishable. So will ChatGP become our ally or our enemy?
Finally, we would like to add that tools like these must be used to a certain extent. We cannot get used to an artificial intelligence answering all our questions or doing all our school work. Therefore, they are beneficial to society because we can achieve many things with it, but we must not forget the human factor.
